Breaking Free
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
2 Corinthians 3:17
Addictions can be killers. I’d hate to know the number of men and women who started out following God’s will for their lives, but were tempted by some substance or activity that eventually bound them in the chains of addiction. Those chains can bind us so tightly that they choke the life out of us.
Can you commit with me that Satan will not rob you of your destiny in God? Tell God you’re His 100 percent – which leaves zero percent for any addictions or idols.
If you’re already bound by an addiction, you can break free. Do whatever it takes. Start with prayer and total surrender to Christ. Then show you’re serious by getting support as you walk out of your prison into freedom.
It’s okay to pray, “God, I can’t break free alone. I need Your help and the help of those who know how to counsel me and be there for me when I struggle with temptation.”
Friend, don’t miss out on what God has for you. Every day can be your Day One of freedom in Christ. You get to make the decision. I’m praying for you.
